北京工业设计促进会于1995年在北京市科学技术委员会支持下成立，由从事设计和推动设计产业发展的企事业单位、院校、研究院所、园区、服务机构、投资机构等单位和个人组成，4A级社会组织。下设可持续设计专业委员会、人工智能专业委员会。促进会致力于推动设计行业的高质量发展，倡导设计作为培育新质生产力的重要引擎。通过搭建DRC设计资源协作平台、促进产学研用合作，推动设计与科技、制造、文化等领域的深度融合，促进设计在城市民生建设中的应用，助力提升居民生活品质。积极推动科技成果转化与应用，促进创新设计的广泛实践，增进设计交易，助力企业价值链升级，为经济发展注入新动能。开展行业研究，树立行业标准，推动知识产权保护与应用。组织行业交流与国际合作，普及设计知识，培育设计人才。反映会员诉求，维护会员及全行业的共同利益，为会员单位提供全方位的支持和服务。

Founded in 1995 with the support of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Beijing Industrial Design Promotion Organization is a national 4A-level social organization composed of enterprises, institutions, universities, research institutes, industrial parks, service providers, investment institutions, and individual professionals engaged in design and the advancement of the design industry.

The Organization has established two specialized committees: the Sustainable Design Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Committee. It is committed to promoting the high-quality development of the design industry and advocates design as an important engine for fostering new quality productive forces.

By building the DRC (Design Resource Collaboration) platform and strengthening collaboration among industry, academia, research, and application, the Organization promotes the deep integration of design with technology, manufacturing, and culture. It encourages the application of design in urban development and public well-being, thereby enhancing the quality of life for residents.

The Organization actively advances the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, fosters the broad practice of innovative design, facilitates design transactions, and supports enterprises in upgrading their value chains, injecting new momentum into economic growth.

In addition, it conducts industry research, establishes industry standards, and promotes the protection and application of intellectual property. By organizing industry exchanges and international cooperation, popularizing design knowledge, and cultivating design talent, the Organization reflects the needs of its members, safeguards the common interests of both members and the industry, and provides comprehensive support and services to its members.
