Maurizio Vrenna is an Assistant Professor of Design and the Design Innovation and Sustainability Center Director at Wenzhou-Kean University. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, Production, and Design from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and studied at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Tsinghua University (China), and Tongji University (China). During his career as a design scholar, practitioner, and inventor, Maurizio developed innovative products and services, working for clients such as Ferrari, Ducati, and Juventus. He performs advisory services for Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest public-private innovation partnership on climate change. His research interests are sustainable design, product-service system design, and intangible cultural heritage. He is a board member of AAIIC (Association of Italian Academics in China) and IDA (Italian Design Association), as well as a judge for well-known design prizes, such as the Kapok Design Awards China. In 2021, his Algae Grower project was selected as one of the 150 best innovations to feature in the Global Grad Show, a Dubai-based platform for promoting design innovation. In 2023, the Algae Grower won the first prize for innovation at the China (Wenzhou) Industrial Design Competition and is now featured in a permanent exhibition. Maurizio Vrenna has recently been recognized as one of the few “Friendly Messengers in Poetry and Painting” in the Zhejiang Province for his efforts to enhance the transmission of Chinese culture and promote international cultural exchanges.

Maurizio Vrenna（毛立）是温州肯恩大学设计学助理教授、设计创新与可持续发展中心主任。毛立拥有意大利都灵理工大学（Politecnico di Torino）管理、生产和设计博士学位，曾就读于瑞典皇家理工学院（瑞典）、清华大学（中国）和同济大学（中国）。在作为设计学者、实践者和发明家的职业生涯中，毛立为法拉利、杜卡迪和尤文图斯等知名客户开发了创新产品和服务。此外，毛立还为欧洲最大的气候变化公私合营创新机构“Climate-KIC”提供咨询服务。毛立的主要研究方向包括：“可持续发展、产品服务体系设计、非物质文化遗产等”。同时，他也是“意大利驻华学者协会”（AAIIC）和“意大利设计协会”（IDA）的委员会成员，同时也是著名国际设计奖的评委，例如中国红棉设计奖。2021年，他的最新项目“薇藻农”被选为迪拜全球毕业设计展（Global Grad Show）150个最佳创新项目之一，这是迪拜的一个国际化的促进设计创新的平台。2023年，“薇藻农”在中国（温州）工业设计大赛中获得创新一等奖，目前该设计在永久展出。近年来，毛立被评为浙江省为数不多的“诗画浙江”友好使者，他为传播中国文化、促进国际文化交流做出了巨大贡献
